Here are my brother David's Photos from Ireland

Another interesting part of the trip was driving through the Titanic Quarter, so named because the Titanic was built there , at the Harland And Wolff Shipyard  The mighty crane known as Goliath is visible for miles around
After the tour we dined at the Hotel Fitzwilliams where we enjoyed the four course pre theater special. After that we all got into the rental vans and were off to Ballycastle

Later that day we met the rest of the family at Belfast City Hall.  My mother used to  wait there for the bus to the  Stormont Building   where she was employed as a government clerk . We then boarded a double decker bus for a tour of Belfast . One of the highlights of the tour was seeing the many  murals documenting both sides of the Republican/Unionist conflict .

Trip of a lifetime part one : Northern Ireland

Ever since my youth I have dreamed of walking the streets of Belfast . I was recently able to realize that dream accompanied by 11 members of my family .
On Friday May 12th 2017 I arrived at Dublin Airport after an eight hour flight from Chicago.
I took a taxicab to Connolly Train Station in Dublin City Centre where i met  my nephew who had flown in from Indianapolis . We had a few hours to kill before our train to Belfast departed so we went for breakfast at The Roasted Bean. The Staff was friendly and professional , the food & coffee were great and the outdoor seating provided a great setting for people watching as commuters rushed to make their trains. The train ride to Belfast on  Irish Rail  was a scenic delight . Upon our  arrival at Belfast Central Train Station my nephew and I had a few hours to kill before meeting the rest of the clan , who had arrived the previous day. We took a taxi to my mother's old house on Whiterock Rd . we then walked around the block to another of her old houses on Whiterock Crescent .
